MISSION AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Core Description

Coty Inc’s US Department Store Regional Sales Manager is responsible for delivering sales goals within his/her region (*detailed KPIs listed below) with disproportionate growth in top cities and top doors.by executing marketing calendars of each retailer, hiring and developing Sales Development Executives and Brand Ambassadors while efficiently managing fiscal budgets and strengthening regional account penetration and joint business planning.

The US Department Store Channel Regional Sales Manager also owns critical organizational expectations – leading, developing, and inspiring a diverse team of Sales Development Executives to deliver perfect execution every day.

The Regional Sales Manager may also lead incremental special project work.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Proactive Business Leadership: Continuous strengthening of regional and retailer business understanding, leveraging data analytics to maximize internal and external negotiations, achieving seasonal retail sales goals, brand rank and share targets while improving ROI. Regularly analyze business and communicate key successes, opportunities and future potential risks to VP, US Luxury Department Store Channel.

  2. Inspirational Organizational Leadership : Attracting best field talent to develop regional retail sales & event targets. Coaching, developing and retaining Full and Part-Time teams to deliver/exceed business results.

  3. Collaboration : Ongoing Partnership with Multi-Functional teams (Sell-In, Education, and Marketing), proactive sharing with Channel Partners, representing Department Store Retail needs in seasonal business planning process.

  4. Communication : Monitor and review sales goals with Sales Development Executives, Store Management and Regional Team. Drive solutions-focused and actionable communication from field to Corporate Teams and to retailers (help needed, promotional recaps, stock needs, market feedback, competitive intel, etc). Communicate inventory issues to ensure that counters have the correct levels and mix of stock to support sales plan.

  5. Stewardship Compliance : Sales plans executed in-line with US Luxury Commercial Strategy, Brand Equity/Fashion House/ Retailer Guidelines. All investments aligned w/ approved vendor guidelines and delivered +/- 2% seasonal budget accuracy.

Key Performance Indicators:

  1. Retail $ / % vs Goal (with disproportionate Top Door Acceleration)

  2. Brand Rank / Regional Market Share (where applicable)

  3. Freelance Budgets deployed on-time and managed within +/- 2% monthly accuracy

  4. Compliance to call cycle provided by VP (Field visits 80% of the time)

  5. Ensure adherence to policy for scheduling and paying 3rd party Brand Ambassadors

  6. T&E +/- 2% seasonal accuracy

  7. Monthly performance reviews & coaching discussions w/ Sales Development Executives

  8. Develop measurable action plans and track progress.

  9. Ensure adherence of Sales Development Executives & Brand Ambassadors to call cycles & call guides

  10. Where relevant : Ensure sufficient flagship counter location & staffing management

  11. In –Store Execution

  12. Visual Week/KCP/Retailer Event/Launch Retail $ vs Goal and In-Store Merchandising vs Expectation

  13. Everyday + Merch Space / Location (>= corp directive)

  14. Holiday Gift Set % Sell-Through

Application Pre-Requisites:

  1. Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university preferred

  2. Basic to Intermediate Computer Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

  3. Previous team leader experience with an organization >10 people.

  4. Preferred 5+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience: 2+ years’ experience within Department Store Channel required; 2+ years’ experience as an account executive.

  5. Exceptional management, organization, communication and interpersonal skills. Proven knowledge of industry trends and best practices and ability to work across functional areas.

  6. Ability to travel up to 75% of the time, including out of state travel. Required to work from a home office and have the ability to travel between client locations. This position allows for one office day per week.
