Manager, Trade Marketing Professional Hair Care – COTY Professional Beauty

Trade Marketing is a Commercial Department, embedded in the brands, whose top line mission is to build and implement Go to Market strategies across the professional hair category. This role will be responsible for steering and monitoring market performance. Additionally, this person will build channel specific category strategy to delight customers; they will be the internal voice TO the markets, OF the markets.


  • Develop Go 2 market strategy for Coty professional hair care brands with a focus on new innovation.

  • Track business results and provide action plan to steer or accelerate results.

  • Work with the multifunctional team (demand planning, marketing, finance, sales teams) to execute the day to day business with excellence on forecasting, sales deployments, pricing, shipment planning, initiative and promotional planning.

  • Collaborate with Global Marketing team to challenge, align and provide feedback on all new product and commercial launches (post, during and pre).

  • Translate global brand vision into trade specific strategies for the professional hair category.

  • Manage Professional distribution database, distribution drives and new distribution opportunities.

  • Translate global launch plans and brand calendar into “professional” and channel specific launch plans and calendars.

  • Create, master and implement all customer requirements into the planning process.

  • Gather business intelligence on category market trends, completion and share best practices.

  • Track performance of initiatives against KPI’s or comparable benchmarks. Consolidate performance and report to key stakeholders.

  • Fuel global marketing to develop initiatives that fit markets needs and provide them with launches performance analysis.


  • Bachelor’s degree (Business Administration, Marketing or similar discipline).

  • Experience of 3+ years sales (or marketing). The beauty industry is a plus

  • Ability to work well under pressure.

  • Highly detailed with strong organizational and operating skills.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Proficient computer knowledge: Microsoft Office, Work, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.


  • Strategic and big picture thinker with the ability to drill down to the details.

  • Strong in planning, facilitation, problem analysis, decision making, and solution oriented.

  • Be creative, business savvy, original, intuitive, open-minded and innovative.

  • Have solid performance in work-flow structuring, monitoring, multi-tasking, analytical, and quantitative skills.

  • Ability to quickly develop category and product expertise.

  • Digital mindset.

  • Motivate and influence others.

  • Strong coordination and leadership within cross-functional teams.

  • Be a dependable leader with strong collaboration, sensitivity, objectivity and integrity.
