ghd NA Senior Marketing Manager (Influencers / PR / SoMe / Communication)

This position will oversee ghd North America Influencer Marketing, PR, Social Media and Digital strategy & activations. The Senior Manager will play a pivotal role within the organization, helping to spearhead innovative Influencer & Digital Marketing strategy & thinking while aiding to leapfrog brand awareness, engagement, consumer acquisition, and maintain brand equity across the Influencers / PR / SoMe space. Also in the scope of the role is Strategy & Influencer relationship management, partnerships leadership & management and identifying strategic opportunities for exclusive content / PR /SoMe partnerships & initiatives. This position is responsible for translating overall business and brand marketing and sales objectives into “always-on” Influencer & Digital strategies across 360 campaigns, social, PR and content. Senior Manager will not only be responsible for the performance of all Influencers / PR / SoMe tactics but also for the ability of those tactics to drive the overall business success and meet business KPIs.

Position reports to the ghd NA Marketing Director.

Skills

Influencer Marketing & Digital/SoMe Strategy & Planning

  • Work with the top management to determine the parameters of a company's Influencer & SoMe strategy & presence

  • Champion industry-leading digital (Influencer & SoMe) campaign strategy, finding new ways to grow brand awareness, engagement, equity and new client acquisition

  • Research and stay ahead of digital/communication innovation and platforms, exploring new opportunities and formulating proposals for how these can be leveraged

  • Assess current/past influencer marketing strategies and tactics and recommend modifications or new solutions to meet brand and business objectives

  • Develop planning calendars against Influencer/SoMe initiatives that support key objectives for ghd brand and customer digital platforms

  • Identify, evaluate, and carry out collaboration opportunities to support overall business objectives

Execution

  • Leverage internal and external resources and data sources to report on the successes/challenges of ongoing initiatives and campaigns and provide direction on actionable opportunities for enhancement

  • Ensure flawless execution of all Influencer/SoMe marketing activities

  • Grow and optimize affiliate marketing program. Develop an affiliate payout structure which will create multiple tiers of affiliates. Monitor execution and optimize program through analysis and testing

  • Lead day-to-day execution of all Influencer/SoMe/PR campaigns - managing external vendors, agencies, and internal teams to proactively keep ahead on timelines, deliverables, and communications

  • Provide briefs to creative team that contain all assets needed to kick off & execute projects

Stakeholder Relationships and Coordination

  • Have a strong communication ability to work within a global team and with retail/professional customers

  • Have a strong understanding of ghd brand positioning and hair tools category

  • Serve as the Influencer/SoMe/Pr marketing lead for all cross-functional activity and communication (internally and externally)

  • Work with Commercial, Education, Sales, and Retail teams to gain input and support for opportunities & priorities required to achieve plans

  • Share key insights with team members and others throughout the organization

Content Management & Merchandising

  • Collaborate with the design team on the creation of website assets.

  • Manage new product setup including product details, photography and copy updates

  • Ensure a best-in-class customer experience by leading the merchandising and marketing messaging updates across the website on a regular basis

Analytics and KPI’s

  • Develop timely reports on the performance of PR / Influencer / SoMe programs and activities and assess achievement against goals

Principal Skills, Knowledge & Personal Attributes Required:

  • 7-8 years in a similar Marketing and/or Influencer Marketing/PR role in a global hair company

  • Well-rounded strategist with previous experience working within the consumer and professional beauty categories

  • PR, digital and social-savvy with a passion for innovation

  • Experience building, growing and optimizing customer & consumer engagement programs.

  • Self-starter and highly motivated; capable of working independently, yet collaboratively, within a fast-paced environment

  • A proven track record in PR and managing Influencers (media, trade, partnership relations management)

  • Exceptional project management and analytical skills

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain good rapport with internal and global teams as well as external vendors and handle situations with confidence, tact, and resourcefulness

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
