Job Title: Customer Finance Analyst

Direct Manager Title: Customer Finance Manager

Department: Customer Finance

MISSION:

Manage customer portfolio with focus on company profitability. Collect invoices in a timely fashion and manage customer claims in order to maximize DSO results.

FUNCTIONS:

  • AR Management –Monitor DSO for entire Portfolio

  • Collection of invoices in a timely manner: collaboration with Sales and Customers

  • Research all customer deductions and obtain supportive and / or additional documentation

  • Run weekly queries to organize and prioritize the work week.

  • Prepare credit/debit memo requests and issue adjustments as directed

  • Provide backup information for Accounts Receivable (A/R) adjustments

  • Assist Managers in establishing an accurate forecast of cash receipts

  • Assist Managers in Audit requests and controls

  • Serve as a trainer for other hourly, weekly or temporary personnel as requested

  • Work on special projects and other assignments, as needed

KEY INDICATORS:

  • Days Sales Outstanding (DSO)

  • A/R performance objectives – against aged receivables

  • Days to Pay reduction

KNOWLEDGE / ATTITUDES / SKILLS:

KNOWLEDGE

  • A minimum of two years of customer finance experience, A/R, deduction management in a high volume, fast-paced environment (Manufacturing background preferred)

  • Previous demonstration of exceptional initiative, drive, customer knowledge and focus

  • SAP experience preferred; 2 yrs minimum in A/R, deductions, credits applications

SKILLS

  • Must be self-motivated, possess decision-making abilities, and require little supervision

  • Ability to handle difficult situations in a professional manner

  • Ability to quickly address and resolve customer concerns, questions and disputes

  • Possess excellent computer skills, including experience with MS Excel and MS Word

  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills

EDUCATION
